RETURN POLICY

REFUNDS & RETURNS

Our commitment is to deliver our comics in the best possible condition but given how often they are handled during the printing, processing, and shipping phases we can not guarantee that each comic will be completely free from small handling or manufacturing defects. 

We therefore guarantee our regular comics to a CGC grade of 9.2 or above and our Limited Edition Exclusives to a CGC grade of 9.4 or above. We use the following chart as a reference to objectively determine if a book fits the criteria for a returnable item

If you feel your comic fits this criteria for a returnable item please contact Info@zenescope.com within 2 weeks of receiving your order. Any items that were in your possession for longer than 2 weeks will not be considered for a refund or replacement. 

EXCLUSIONS

Replacements will not be issued for prizes or free promotional items. Items marked as ‘All Sales are Final’ are not eligible for refunds or replacements. These are older inventory items that are heavily discounted and priced to sell. 

PURCHASE DISPUTES & CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS

As a small company that strives to provide quality products and professional service we also reserve the right to reject orders or close/suspend accounts of those individuals that are perceived to be abusing the return policy or otherwise acting or communicating in in appropriate ways. This includes abusive or inappropriate language in calls or messages. 

SHIPPING

I live internationally and ordered from your website and ended up getting charged customs fees. Why did this happen?

Unfortunately, for International orders, we cannot control any custom fees. That being said, we apply the custom destination as comic books so that custom charges are not applied, however the laws and regulations of different countries vary.

I love your stuff, but your shipping rates seem a little high. What’s up with that?

We understand your concern about shipping rates being high. In the comic book industry, receiving your books in the highest possible condition is very important, so we select our shipping services carefully so that we know your orders will get to you safely! 

Please keep in mind that our rates are calculated and displayed automatically by the shipping services that we use, and do include a handling fee for packaging materials. We make no profit on any of our shipping charges.

If you are looking to save on shipping, consider becoming a VIP to receive a $10 flat shipping rate on all domestic orders 5lb or less and $25 for all international orders 5lbs or less. 

ONLINE ORDERS

My coupon code isn’t working, why is this?

There could be a few reasons.

  1. It has expired or was already used. Unless otherwise specified, all discount codes have an expiration date and are one-use only.
  2. The coupon code is only redeemable for designated items. Please double check the parameters on the coupon.  
  3. There is a free or discounted promotional item already in your cart.  Discount codes can not be combined with another discount, special offer or promotion. If you prefer to use your discount code rather than receive the free or discounted promotional item you have the option of removing it at checkout. 
  4. You are attempting to use a discount code on excluded orders. Discount codes can only be used on webstore orders. They can not be applied to Kickstarter, VIP Event,  convention, or live stream orders as these typically include their own special offers.
  5. You are attempting to apply a discount code on excluded items. Discount codes can not be applied to VIP Memberships, VIP Event Tickets, VIP Event Packages, subscriptions, and new releases which are defined as 60 days from the time of release.

Can you guys hold my order, or combine shipping on multiple orders?

Unfortunately, we are not able to hold or combine multiple orders for shipping purposes as this has led to logistical problems in the past. 

SUBMISSIONS

I have a script that I’m working on that’s the next Grimm Fairy Tales! You guys have to read this, where do I send it? 

Please follow our submission guidelines here. Keep in mind we do not accept unsolicited pitches for legal concerns. We also do not back creator-owned projects. All of the books we publish are with our Zenescope-owned characters and are written by our own writers. Do not  send submissions via social media. They will not be accepted and reviewed by our team. 

I recently submitted artwork through the submissions page but I haven’t heard anything back. When should I expect a response?

Although every submission is reviewed by our Art and Editorial Team, due to the high volume of submissions we cannot guarantee a response. If an opportunity arises and we feel you are a good fit we will contact you. 

CONVENTIONS

At the convention where I visited your booth, someone told me that all of your exclusives were sold out, but then I saw some on your website after that. Why couldn't I have one then?

We sell our exclusives through multiple different channels. We only bring a certain number of exclusives to each convention.  After the conclusion of the convention remaining inventory is typically sold on our monthly livestreams first then offered to the general public on our website. In addition, VIPs may get early access to certain designated books as one of the perks for being a member. 

Convention exclusives are highly sought after, so be sure to subscribe to our email list here to see when new books are available.

FAQ & VIP

My VIP account isn’t working, what should I do?

If you do not have an account set up, you will need to do that first using the same email address you used to purchase your VIP Membership.

  • First, go to Login at the top of the website's homepage and click Create Account. 
  • Using the same email address that you used to purchase your membership add a password. 
  • You should then get a confirmation email, in which you must click the red box to complete the activation.
  • You will also receive a VIP Welcome Email with important information regarding your membership. 
  • Be sure to log into your VIP account before making any purchases so that your orders accumulate VIP points. 

At this point, you should be able to log in normally to view your points and have access to the VIP sections of the webstore.

As a VIP, I'm supposed to get flat-rate shipping. Why didn’t I get it?

The VIP flat shipping rate has a 5lb weight limit. If you were not offered the flat rate please check the weight of your order. In addition, you must place your order using the email address linked to your VIP account or the system will not recognize you as a member. 

In the past, VIPs needed to include 'VIP or INT VIP' after their last name in their shipping address to trigger the flat rate being offered. This is no longer the case. In fact if 'VIP or INT VIP' is included after your last name in your shipping address the flat rate will be excluded from your shipping options. So please delete 'VIP or INT VIP' if it is included in your default shipping address. 

Where do I find how many VIP points I have accumulated based on all of my purchases?

After you log into your VIP account on the bottom right-hand corner you will find an icon that says Zenescope VIP Rewards that  you can click. A mini dashboard pops up that shows your current point balance. Click on the drop-down arrow to where it says "My Orders". After you click on "My Orders" it will bring you to an updated page where on the right-hand side it will show you all of your account information along with your points total.

I want to redeem my VIP points, how do I do that?

VIP points can be redeemed easily by clicking on your VIP Virtual Wallet i.e. the red  Zenescope VIP Rewards button on the bottom right hand corner of your screen.  A mini dashboard showing your available points and corresponding redeemable rewards will appear. Just click on whichever available discount code that you desire to use and paste the copied code at checkout.

Can I buy a VIP membership for a family member or friend?

I bought Zenescope at my Local Comic Book Shop. How can I get VIP points for my purchases?

Submit pictures of your receipts that have the following information. 

  • Date and location of purchase
  • Name of Zenescope books/products
  • Subtotals

Please note the following. 

  • The deadline to submit receipts is 30 days after the purchase.
  • Points are accumulated for only the purchase amount of the books and excludes taxes, shipping costs and any additional fees.
  • We only accept receipts from brick-and-mortar stores; third-party vendors (eBay, Facebook Marketplace) are excluded.
